John Mackey DGC

John Mackey Disc Golf Park is a nice 9 hole urban course (with one unofficial alternate) with slight undulations and a handful of giant oaks; the course is mostly flat and lightly wooded, and measures approx. 2900 ft. There is currently 3 alternate pins which are changed infrequently, and a practice putting green. This is a good course to bring the "newbie" or practice your drives, though one does need to be careful not to send their disk across the boundary fence of regional transit (lightrail) since "no trespassing" is posted there. In addition Mackey Park has a nice playground for the children. The park is located in North Sacramento (Business 80 to Marconi Ave. exit. Go west to a right on Kenwood St. 1st tee just past playground.)
