This weekend saw the wrap-up of the 2014 PDGA Pro Worlds championships.  All the usual suspects were out, including Orangevale resident Jim Oates (PDGA #3351) winning the Grandmasters division.  While I haven’t had a chance to catch much of the rounds online thanks to a busy weekend of work, band business, and my own disc golf outings, I did see this one.

Paul McBeth, Ricky Wysocki, Nate Doss, and Paul Ulibarri.  Battling out the lead card on the final 9 holes of the tournament.  I like watching these guys.  A lot.  This last round was a blast.  I don’t want to give too much away if you haven’t seen it yet, but there’s some pretty crazy surprises.  Granted, you may have already seen that McBeast took home his third consecutive Worlds title, but it’s a nail-biter of a finish, and not without some heartbreak.  It’s definitely worth a watch.
